My name is Sam Murphy and I have spent the last 10 years gaining formal education, professional qualifications, reading self-help books, listening to podcasts, researching human performance, speaking to field experts, and collating my thoughts through working with thousands of individuals. This journey has taken me from researching infancy development and human evolution to coaching world-class athletes and everything in between.
Alongside this continual education process, I have observed many coaches in the fitness industry follow uneducated approaches. Either religiously sticking to a limited faction of methods with little change as new research/ thought processes arise or skipping from one methodology to another each time a new study is published or fad is endorsed.
As your coach, I aim to practice a balanced and continually evolving application of values endorsed by years of research-based evidence, with a more dynamic application of progressive methods.
